It's a great place to eat for your family or as a cozy place to go on a date!!! & There's a Large variety of yummy things on the menu!!! Fast Friendly Service, Reasonably Priced & What a beautiful View of the River Off of the Back Balcony Deck!!! I Love This Place I've Been Going There Since I Was A little girl... My Best Friend @ The Time's Awesome Parents Use To Take Us There At least A Couple Times A Year Or More!!! I Continued Going Once I Grew Up & Was On My Own If you Don't Already Know About The Restaurant You Should Find Out For Yourself I Love it!!! I've enjoyed every visit there and there have been many times over the years!!!There's only one more thing that I will say is if your in a hurry it's probably not the place to go because It's NOT A Fast Food Restaurant!!! They serve good quality real food and have friendly service so if that's what counts to you then go check them out Yummmm....

This was my first time at the new location and what a great experience. The food is better than I ever remember (and I'm old enough to remember going to the Barefoot barefoot 50 years ago!). The portions are really generous and the staff was super friendly. It was a nice day so we sat outside and watched the river. We will definitely be going back!

Love the new location and building! Not sure how long ago they moved but we are happy with the choice! The playground next door is the perfect idea for children that don't want to sit and wait for food! Or maybe they don't want to wait for everyone to finish visiting. Either way they can play! The deck area is wonderful and provides a nice view of the river and or playground. Food was spot on and everyone loved their choices! I would definately visit again if in the area!

I love the Barefoot! I have eaten there a total of 8 times (3 times for supper and 5 times for lunch) since they have reopened. So I feel I can give a pretty accurate review. I have had excellent service every time! Food was delicious and hot! I have never had to wait very long! You have a new business that has opened their doors trying to get the kinks worked out. So many negative comments on a forum that so many people read. Barefoot worked hard to open their doors back up and serve the people! Keep up the good work! I'll be back this week!

Our family hadn't been to the Barefoot Restaurant in Hardin for years. The new owners Brian & Cathy have done a tremendous job on bringing the old Barefoot back to life. The chicken had that same crispy coating and juicy flavor as I remembered. Same great house dressing on the salad. The rest of the family had hamburgers, fries and we all split mushrooms and onion rings as appetizers. The couple next to us ordered the whole catfish and it barely fit on the dinner plate. They even have a breakfast buffet on Saturday & Sunday mornings and a pizza, pasta & salad buffet beginning at 4 pm. There is also an outdoor deck and bar overlooking the Illinois River. The perfect place to have one of their frozen signature drinks and some appetizers. The food prices are very reasonable! Take the time this weekend to drive your family through "God's Country" - Calhoun County, Illinois for some really good food. You will LOVE the New Barefoot Restaurant!

I had the catfish fritter dinner and it was delicious. The atmosphere was great and there's a nice view of the river. The service was good as well and everything was reasonably priced especially in this current economy.

My first time here and I was pleasantly surprised. Not sure what I expected but the restaurant was very pretty inside, has a beautiful view and was very comfortable.The food was good. I had a tenderloin and my friend had the catfish fritters, they were very good, as was my tenderloin. My husband liked his whole catfish. I enjoyed the evening and will definitely go back. I believe it will be a great place to go in good weather and you can sit outside.

Very clean. Staff was very nice. Food was good. Sits right on the river Illinois river. Beautiful!!!
